Hi Sean,
Ended up selling the D4 because of a surging problem that no one could fix.
Went to the Grand Cherokee which has been a great vehicle to be honest, but definitely not Range Rover comfort and quality.
Cheers, Craig

The fault is a design fault with the SVD 8 Turbo as it turns out. The oil supply will leak into the Turbo control unit causing fault codes and in my case chucking a DPF failure code. Car was flatbed to dealer in Tamworth. Search turned up this has caused a design change to the turbo oil feed , although LR only fix if failure occurs by the look of it. This will be the third turbo fitted to my car , and lucky it happened under warranty. Downside is there are no parts so car off the road for 6 weeks. I hope they add six weeks to my new car warranty ? Any SDV 8 owners might be warned and ask for the fix before the car s out of warranty as it is an expensive exercise.
