That is impressive for a V8 TD.
I did Melbourne to Sydney and back in my Jeep Grand Cherokee TD and averaged 8.4 Lt per 100 Klm's which included running around Sydney.

Is that dash readout or by measured you mean at the pump?

Well I have tried very hard to get economy reading on my recently acquired SDV8 but unfortunately I have got so addicted to flooring it that I am in double figures! I may calm down in the future....
Vehicle is actually better than I thought it would be so very happy so far.

They are great with the SVD 8 although I am getting a fault atm high pressure fuel sensor. Away from home so just resetting with my code reader. This has occurred before but after checked by dealer not been back for 6 months.

Picked up my new (second hand) HSE SDV8 Dynamic Tuesday afternoon.......very happy

Topped up the fuel last night after travelling 650 Klm's. Managed to squeeze in 71 Lt.......which worked out to 10.9 Lt per 100 Klm's.

Not too bad given that I towed in traffic for around 120 Klm's......and played with the 'WOW' pedal a bit too much

Heading off this morning for a 3 1/2 hour trip, mainly freeway, so will be interesting to check the economy after the trip.

    Cheers, Craig

    Second tank a lot better

Did the 3.5 hour + freeway trip yesterday, which involved a bit of twisty country road driving through the Ottway's.

Ended up doing a total of 466 Klm's with an average (according to the trip computer) of 7.8 Lt per 100 Klm's. That is amazing........if its correct.

    Cheers, Craig

Welcome back to LR ownership Craig. You've done it in style! How does it feel to be back in one again after the Jeep (IIRC you moved from the D4 to a Cherokee)?
    Cheers,
