I didn't expect that! D4 19" fit over my L322's 6-pot Brembos and with the L494 having significantly less offset than my L322 which is more than the D4 I didn't think there would be any concerns.

Hi there, hoping to get some help - or affirmation :-)
Picked up a set of used 19" rims from a '14 RRS with the thought of putting off road tyres on them. I have 21s at the moment.
Am thinking of going with the 255/55/19 Wrangler Duratrac. They look to be a very similar size so wont rub or change speedo (very much).
Any thought on going in this direction?
Comments appreciated.
As in my earlier post. I fitted 275/55R20 Falkens. No rubbing and the larger tyre helps correct the speedo, now only 2% low instead of 6%. Off-road you need to get as much sidewall as you can. I have had a great run out of the Falkens, previously had Goodyear Duratracs and MTR's on my Discos. Just finished another 5.5k in outback Queensland, with a couple of thousand kms on dirt and mud.

I have 20K kms on my Falkens now and they still grip better than any AT tyre I've tried previously. I had a passenger who drives a 200 series shod with BFG KO2s the other day and he was very impressed at the speed I was turning in at on wet corners and roundabouts. He expressed the opinion that the KO2s at those speeds would have resulted in leaving the road and is considering replacing them with Falkens now.
Road noise has increased a little over that distance but it is still very acceptable and only noticed by me (SWMBO doesn't notice at all) when the stereo is off.

Hi Geedublya and Desert Traveller, did you notice any change in ride comfort with those slightly larger tyres?
thanks in advance

Not really, tyre pressures have more effect on the ride. The RRS ride is so soft and the steering vague compared to my other cars.
