    RRS 5.0 S/C upgrades

    Hi,

I just traded my 2010 RRS TDV8 on a 2015 5.0 SC with only 16,000 km on it.
Has anyone changed the supercharger pulley or done a tune ?
If so where about ? I'm in Melbourne

    Thanks in Advance
    Chris

I’m very happy with the standard performance from mine and have heard of big end problems when tuned so I’m happy to leave it alone.

Isn't 375Kw enough??? I was enjoying my 250Kw and 700Nm today, I can only imagine what 375 sounds and feels like!!!

I flashed a tune into a 5.0L L494 here in Sydney recently, a tweaked version of the SVR tune, it's pretty epic, way faster than a vehicle that size ought to be.

Could probably sort you out with the same via a contact in Melbourne.

Yes the diesel flash tune us up to around 840Nm... I decided against it for longevity after this weeks towing prowess, some of the hills I flew up, overtaking even with 2.9t on the back... impressive enough for me...

Thanks cambo that would be great if you could give me a contact

I flashed my TDV8 3.6 3 years ago and had no issues with it

I was looking at buying one of these from Velocity AP Range Rover Sport & Full Size 5.0 Supercharged ECU Tune 2013-2016MY. I think you just download the existing with it send it to them then they create a few new maps. It also stores the original one on it

Did you do a custom one on a dyno ? or is it something similar ?

    Thanks

Added a custom x-pipe centre section to that 5.0L L494 today, deleting the two centre mufflers.
This is very similar to the factory exhaust on the Jaguar XKR-S, compared to the standard XKR.

Between the tune and the exhaust, it's got some serious grunt.

The owner called me up on his way home this evening, he punched it at a set of lights and had the traction control light flashing, first time he'd ever seen that in years of ownership, so it's had the desired effect, not really much extra down low but it pulls noticeably harder in the upper rev range.

Christ it must be loud. I think mine is too loud now and it is standard.
Mine will squirm and squeal if I punch it hard but I’m running 255s instead of 275s. It will go sideways if I’m pulling out into a t intersection.
