Thanks Geedublya
I have edited my post to fix it.

I don't use a holder anymore , I just lay my phone down in the top dash tray and let Bluetooth do it's thing.
I use Galaxy Note 10 and have it located in a wireless charger holder that is stuck on the slider over the drink holders. I use a speed camera app that advises me if I exceed the speed limit and listen to music. Phone is handled by blue tooth . I can glance at phone if I need confirmation of speed limit in current location.
Hi
If it's bluetooth it will probably work in the glovebox. That way its not at all accessible and less for any one to argue with that you might have been using it.
Check the regulations. I know I can't legally use the Android for navigation with it sitting on the passenger seat. It has to be affixed.

Unlike talking on a CB or HF radio? Aside from that, he was asking about how to mount his telephone. Not for an opinion.
Not sure what telephone you use, but if you haven’t noticed, they do a lot more than make calls. I have my OBDII port linked wirelessly, so all my engine readouts come through.
I use a RAM X-Mount. Same as we use in fire-brigade and can also go on my boat. Mount to lower right windscreen. The one I have can fit an iPhone X with Otterbox Defender case. Only catch is it takes two hands to open the grip and put in the phone. But it’s far from a piece of junk plastic.
