The person asked about options with the comment "Sometimes Google maps is a lot better than OEM nav." so they want to use it for nav.
That's a reasonable thing to do whilst driving as it is hands free and perfectly legal when it is mounted correctly. Or they could look at the Gregories or UBD Street on the passenger seat while driving and flip over the pages whilst stopped at traffic lights :-) Take your pick.
