Where to find an Auxiliary Battery Tray?

    Hi All,

I'm wanting to install an auxiliary battery into the space behind the panel in the boot above the rear left wheel.
I can't sit the battery on the right as I have a control module fixed where I was hoping to mount it. So the left side is the only option.

In order to do this I need a battery tray. I've searched but am unable to find prefabricated battery trays specific to the l494 RRS.

If anyone can point me in the right direction to find one, that would be great.

    Hey mate

    Short answer is you can't.

There is an auto electrical mob in Perth which does an install where you're looking to fit it but when I contacted early last year they wouldn't sell me just the tray. They were happy to sell me everything for about $1,500 but I'd still have to fit it all.

In the end I ended up making one & doing it myself.

I used the same location in my car (2016 SDV6 HSE) as I also had something behind the right side panel.

My writeup is on here if it helps.
    Link if it works

    Cheers

    Thanks WizudofOz.

I had found a post with the details of the Perth company and had spoken with them already. I got the same response, won't sell the tray only and $1500 for the entire setup.
I want to install a Traxide Isolator so need the battery tray only.

I did come across your post previously but was hoping to find something already made as i'm quite time poor at the moment. But, looks like i'll be making my own based on your design now.

    Thanks again!
