Rack options - factory rails or Rhino?

Hi everyone, just took delivery of a MY16 RRS, loving it and super eager to get touring with it! I'm looking to put a Rhino Pioneer Rack on top to carry extra fuel, recovery gear etc. I was going to get the factory roof rails as they're clean looking with the rack off, however Rhino also have their tracks.

Has anyone got any insight into either option? The rack/platform is the same either way, just different feet I'm guessing. Any differences in strength or fitment?

    Thanks in advance!

D3 experience here and I went for a frontrunner rack with their rails because of the prohibitive cost of the genuine rails. If the pricing is similar I'd probably go genuine with the feet to suit the rack but do your research on the price of the rails.

I fitted rhino rails, they bolted directly into the factory mount points. Fraction of the OEM rail cost.

Same here, I had to linish the leg bases to fit the platform so it can lock in and unlock easily.

My reply might be late but here is what I did for my RRS MY17 :
    - Frontrunner tracks bolted directly into the factory mount points. Very solid but the difficulty is to bend the aluminum tracks to the roof curve, plus they are not parallel.
    - Frontrunner rack attached to the tracks with 6 feet.
Used this during for overlanding trips, no problem at all.

Looks like a very similar setup to the one I had on My D3, although the rails are pretty much straight on a D3 so easier to fit.
