    Trying out the "sport" bit

I did a track day at Wakefield in the RRS today. Its certainly an interesting experience throwing around 2.5 tonne of RRS but it was awesome fun. I did a half day with an instructor which gave me three accompanied sessions spread out across the day. The Hyundai in the shots was faster than me, I've worn enough tread off the tyres that came on the 20" rims to not feel bad about putting all terrains on now.

I'd recommend it to anyone, what I wouldn't give to get my grubby hands on a 5.0 supercharged Jag to play with

Nice job! What pressures were you running with in the 20s?
    Cheers,

    Sean

35 psi cold in the front and 45 warm at the back (they were 35 cold) but I added at least another 5psi which made a huge difference to the rear coming out of corners.

Yep, theirs no doubt that if you run standard pressures, you're going to have a hard time making the car go in the direction you point it, if going a bit hard! I run an extra 2 psi all 'round permanently and the improvement in handling is night and day difference. Tyre wear is about perfect at that too. Apart from feeling and seeing the improvement, you can see how much happier the car is based on how much the DSC activates (a lot less!).

It would have been fun if you had your 22s on(IIRC you have a set of those)!
    Cheers,

    Sean

Yes mate, it makes a huge difference to handling when running on 20s. The ride is harsher though but not uncomfortably so. It might be worth you experimenting when you get yours to see what suits you best.
    Cheers,

    Sean
