    Funny (bad) tyre wear

Installed 4 Toyo AT 265/50/20 tyres finally today after waiting a month for the 4th one to arrive..
And found two things,, the car needs new pads and rotors on the back--
and the passenger rear has some sort of problem..

Can I assume its a wheel alignment issue?
    These tyres have done 11K..

Probably toe needs checking, could also be a worn knuckle joint, they do let go.

Waiting to leave this morning to take the car to Maroochydore LR.. had a fair chat to the service manager yesterday about this tyre wear, originally ( 3+ weeks back) I booked the car in for a tranny and engine fluid change,, during the tyre fitting the guy was pretty sure it was an alignment issue and the service manager was pretty sure any unusual issues with the suspension would be reported "on screen", and as there is NO ability to stretch the amount of time my car was originally allocated I had to decide the best way to use this time slot. Oils? Brakes? or tyre wear? The engine oil has another 15K in it( according to LR ) and the tranny has already had one dump and fill done in the last 12 months so Brakes it is. The Tech has been instructed to eyeball suspension stuff during the fitting.

After its all back together I get to visit an old Friend .....

The knuckle joint can be worn out without the machine picking it up, I know mine are stuffed, I also know the alignment place I used has pretty late Model 4 wheel computerised gear that has picked up failures on our other cars, but doesn't pick up the knuckle joint.

So how do i test for a bad knuckle joint? Try and make it move around with a long lever?
