    Wiper blade Replacement

Last night the wiper blades got the better of me and I went in search of replacements. Looking at the online catalogues from the parts stores they were suggesting that the only blades that fitted were the entire blade replacements so I went into Supercheap for a better look. It turns out that Tridon do a rubber replacement for the factory arms.
    MRJ2028-2 - Wiper Rubber Refills | Tridon

I found these in the tridon catalogue in store, they are also listed for Lexus and a few other Japanese vehicles. All for the princely sum of $22.00

These aren't even listed on the Supercheap website and Repco don't do Tridon but they are a direct replacement for the inserts on the factory wipers, you just have to cut a couple of inches off the drivers side one. You need to reuse the stainless steel backing plates from the old wipers and don't forget to put your wipers in "winter" mode before you try and lift them off the screen or you WILL damage the paint on the trailing edge of your bonnet.

Using the left hand control buttons on the steering wheel go into the car setup section and select winter mode for the wipers. All it does is changes the parking position so that the wipers don't scratch the back of the bonnet when you lift them off the screen.
