I would pay SO MUCH money to get rid of the EGR system...
I had a ECU tune done on mine which includes an electronic EGR delete

I'm quite impressed with my 4.4 TDV8 L322's economy tune with EGR delete, which was done around 4 months ago for the EGR delete for off-idle response improvement and for reduced intake clogging. Whilst it can now really jump to life breaking into or across traffic at roundabouts and has some more grunt when overtaking with supposedly the same 250kW as the SDV8, it still idles along tracks and mimicks a mountain goat climbing steep inclines at around 1000 rpm.

    (With apologies to The Fridster...)

    No apologies needed Pedro.
A brief update on my ONGOING drama with oil leaks.

November last year wiring harness STILL leaking but, "none in Aus". "Oh and we had to replace the left hand turbo" AGAIN!!! That made BOTH turbos replaced twice. The dealer finally booked the car in for new harness to be fitted last Tuesday, 31/2 months after acknowledging the problem. Phone call yesterday from Service Manager "Ah we have a problem with your car Peter we've discovered there is an oil leak from a blanking plate in the sump and the only way to fix it is replace the sump BUT there are none in Aus, we need to replace the oil sensor harness and sump at same time so please come and pick up your car and we'll let you know when we have a new sump". Ive owned cars for 56 years and had 13 of them and this has given me more grief than the rest put together. If it wasn't such a nice car to drive I think i'd almost give it away.
