    New to RRS

    Hi All,

I'm not new to the forum but am new to the world of RRS. I'm picking up a 2018 SDV6 on Thursday. I've had two D4s but know bugger all about the RRS. Unfortunately I can't get into TOPIX anymore, any further than one of the front pages, so can't see what the car came out of the factory with. Unlike my D4s, I've also been unable to find an Australian PDF for a 2018. Those PDFs were super handy when working out what your car has standard, as the manual is usually generic and covers all models.

The car was built in November 2018 and was registered 28 December 2018 (Nice Xmas Prezzie for somebody :-)). TOPIX actually has the car listed as 2019 .... I assume that means MY2019. This generates a question for me ..... are there any differences in the RRS built for the 2018 Vs 2019 markets?

Also, has anybody got a PDF for a MY2019 RRS that I could look at please?

Looking forward to getting my hands on my new truck :-) Also hoping that once I take ownership and register on the JLR system, that they can help me with a build record, like TOPIX used to supply.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Edit - Just did a bit of Google Reading on the VIN make up. 10th character is K, which appears to be representative of MY19. What I've also found confusing is the fact that publications, including Redbook, are flicking between 183KW/600nm to 225KW/700nm for the SDV6 SE. I guess I'll get that sorted when I talk to LR.

It will indeed be MY2019 but registered as a 2018 model. Except when advertising it for sale, you can ignore the 2018 rego classification.

    Thanks Graeme.

Any idea about the engine specification confusion? It seems odd to drop the performance value of the SDV6 from one year to the next but I can't find a solid reference point. Who knows?

I assume LLAMS is available for this car? :-)

    Cheers,

    Kev

Not sure I've solved the enigma but a very productive call to LR today revealed, via the Rego number for my RRS, that it has a 306PS engine, which equates to 228.4KW.

That's almost the same power as my TDV8 was until very recently when it crept up to around 250kW in a significantly heavier vehicle.

Nice to have another from the L319 forum join in over here Kev! The SDV6 is 225kW, the TDV6 is 183kW (single turbo with same output as the SDV6 D4s).

If you're after a user manual, LR keep them all online now:

just select your model and year: https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/

There are plenty of PDFs online if you're after a workshop manual.

    Enjoy!
    Cheers,

    Sean
