Recovering Other Vehicles with a RRS.

    Hi All,

New to RRS. Been flicking through the Handbook and have come to the Off Road Recovery part and have been playing with the cover panels.

The handbook states that you shouldn't use the rear screw-in hitch to recover somebody off road. What do you folks do?

Also, getting the front panel off is staight forward enough (similar to my D4) but is there a trick to removing the rear panel? I'm afraid of cracking it but wiggling after undoing the screws has not appeared to make any difference.

    Appreciate your help.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

I can't use the screw in hook as I have tow bar fitted. However the book also says "If towing eyes are to be used for off-road recovery, it is essential that off-road driver training covering recovery techniques, is undertaken" thereby sort of indicating that they can be.
Can't help re getting the cover off, sorry.
