    Retrofit Adaptive cruise control

Hi all, I recently purchased at my18 RRS SDV6 HSE and the only feature missing that i really did want is the adaptive cruise control. I have read on some other forums of people retrofitting this in models prior to the my18 facelift which required installation of the radar behind the front bumper and changing the steering wheel controls. Followed by an update to the CCF to turn the features on. There is a device sold out of UK by GAP which allows editing of the CCF but they want $800 for it.

I was reading further that from the MY18 facelift model onwards the radar was actually installed behind the bumper and the system was just software locked? i havent taken my front bumper off to check yet, maybe will get to this on the weekend. So my question is, if the radar is there does anyone know of any people that are around the gold coast QLD which would have the equipment and software to edit the CCF. i know what setting need to be changed, just didnt want to spend $800 on a device from GAP.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Not answering your question but if you found the fuse for the radar unit you could determine if the radar unit was indeed fitted by measuring the current that it draws. Also if fitted but not enabled then powering it may cause cruise control errors due to the radar data not being expected, which occurred when I was part-way through retrofitting ACC to my MY12 L322 and wanted to go back to standard CC until the ordered steering wheel switches arrived. That would prove that the radar unit was fitted.

Just a note on the CCFs for these cars.... For pre-MY17 (and maybe MY17 itself) I understand the software that the dealer uses to tweak the CCF is called SDD. There are some values that the GAP tool can also tweak (GAP tool was built to tweak earlier model landrovers) From MY18 onwards the software the dealer uses I think is called Pathfinder, and this is even further removed from anything that GAP can tweak.
You might get some answers looking on RRSPORT.CO.UK • Index or rangerovers.net.

Looking to acquire a demo 2023 range rover velar D400 one option i wanted was the park assist function. Is anyone aware of a business who can activate the function or retrofit? I will follow up with range rover for a fee if this can be activated.
