My "old fashioned gauges" turn red when in Dynamic.........
Yes, I am a little bit envious.

The easy way to tell the upgraded audio is the meridian badges on the speaker grilles. I was looking for mine for about 6 months before I found the one I bought, good audio was a must have. In fact I sent a deposit to a dealer who refunded it when I pointed out that it didn't have the upgraded audio.

I dont recall seeing any fluid filled gauges in Land Rovers.. you could maybe argue a case for having SMITHS at the bottom... [tonguewink]
To close this off as I don't like unfinished threads :-)
I bought a new ranger Wildtrak, got all the tech and the v6.
And I kept my Defender.
Thanks for all the advice, in the end I was wary of spending 60k on a 15yr old car, maybe when the prices go down :-)
Cheers

I'm going to look at a SDV8 Dynamic this weekend its has full land rover history and looks great it has 114000km on it what should I be looking for at these KMs.
1 Will it need new front bushes or control arms.
2 Should I check all recalls have been done and how to check that.
3 Its got 22 inch wheels on it are 21 the smallest that will go on it.
And if I forgot anything would appreciate you feedback my 2008 RRS is getting too long in the tooth now need to be put to pastures.
And?
Yes it will need lower control arms at some point...
just a result of Nm and Kg's...
It would be a good thing to replace all the rubber hoses in the V.....
and normal LR 20's will fit over those fantastic red Brembo's
Several of the hoses in the V have plastic sections. The plastic deteriorates faster then the hoses so don't just check the condition of the hoses. Other plastic fittings such as the thermostat housing should also be replaced before they fail.
I'm about to purchase the SDV8 that I have looked at, were would I find out the catalogue numbers of all hose and plastic bits inside the engine bay that I should change out as preventive maintenance or has somebody already made up a list of they have already done it ?
If you are going in there,, ensure the oil cooler has been changed as well... though this may be in its online service history...
