I've got my eye on a very nice looking SDV6 HSE, but have a couple of concerns/questions

Main concern is the crank shaft issue, but not sure if this is something I should be overly worried about. All the reports I've read about failures have been with older pre-facelift models, so not sure if something has been done in the assembly process that has reduced the risk. Is it something I really need to worry about? I don't like the idea of having a $35k repair bill at some random point down the line.

I'd love to get a SDV8, but they're either too old or too expensive for me

It also has about 140k on the clock, which is up there, but also has a full RR service history (as sparse as that is), and speaking to the service department at Ritter in Melbourne, he didn't see any issues with it.

I'm going to be up for a 72 month service, and transmission service when I get it, which is fine, I can budget for that. Then a timing belt in the next year or two

Is there anything else I should be looking out for?
