    Range Rover Evoque - $?

Just wondering if anyone had any inside news on pricing and estimated delivery? Looking at a new car for the wife in 2011 so this maybe on the list based on pricing...thanks!

I am in same boat, my mate just bought his wife a new FL2, he could not wait.
I have read somewhere on net that it will come in under $50k for 2 wheel drive variant.
In other words, it be great as a run around which it will be mainly used for I guess.
I am already on waiting list for one here in Adelaide.
Middle to end of next year they tell me. Good timing as Golf lease will be up in July next year.

I'd lay money it will be MORE than $50K. Think closer to $60K for the basic version and you probably won't be too far wrong.

FL2 is a better option anyway. It's a proven performer (reliability pretty good for a Landy), is bigger, and goes offroad (kinda. Certainly m,ore than an evoque).
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

def90 - Curiously, is this for Melbourne or HK?

It'll be interesting how this model sells; cars in this segment from the Volkswagen Tiguan up to the Audi Q5 are all performing well, I have to admit that despite my affection for all things LR I'm not sold yet. Any word on whether it will only have the two doors previewed so far? Surely they won't sell a two door, two wheel drive fuel miser for over 50k base?

    Just did some research to try and answer my own question - apparently the two-door will be the 'star', but personally I'd be waiting for the 5-door;

It looks a lot like the Audi Q5...

I'd be anticipating the cheapest model at around 50k - it's always hard to tell what 'premium/luxury' translates as though...

I remember reading it will be 40k plus on road costs - very good value, I think.

Thanks Dmmos, Its for Melbourne and I too would be after a 4WD 5 door for the kids and also for snow trips...
I cant imagine with the RR brand that it could be in the 40K range (i wish!) as I thought the whole concept of using the RR brand was to raise the luxury factor...
I would be in if its in the 50's but out if its in the 60's....
Hate to say it, but I am still deperate for a new technology Defender, but thats been a looooong wait...

If it was i the 50's why would you possibly get that over a Freelander (which has some off road ability and plenty of space)
