After delivery I bought mud mats for when we drive off-road. When you go off-road/dirt make sure you clean the rear-camera.
Check the storage space before purchasing anything, we had to return a 15 litre engel and get the 14 litre to fix where we wanted in the boot.
The interesting feature is that the car puts itself in park and the parking brake automatically comes on when you turn the engine off, and parking brake is automatically released when you are in drive or reverse and accelerate. Iused to forget to take the hand break off, no problem anymore.
If your going to go off-road on difficult track you may want to invest in off-road tyres.
No other suggestion at this stage - we have done 4,500km since 31 January... very nice drive. Handles well, dirt/gravel roads feel like normal roads .:)
I actually asked for my manual/handbook while they were still getting the vehicle ready, 24 hours before delivery. Read it and put it into the glove box day after we received the vehicle.Quote:

Pure 5 Door in Fuji White with 19"s, Tech Pack, Ebony Leather, Reversing Camera and Front Sensors.
Really happy, took for a drive to Perisher (from Canberra) and was faultless.
Still playing with all the gadgets, only feature I wish I ordered was automatic headlights (or Clearview Pack).
I could suggest that it's easy..you just turn on the headlights when it gets dark...but that would be rude so I won't say it:angel::wasntme::p

Seems an annoyance though when every car i've had for the last 10 years has had automatic head lights as standard...
I'll come clean...one (top spec Evoque) pulled up beside me the other day ...a bright red one with a white roof (reminiscent of the early Mini cooper S). Stunning ! Very swish and 21st century... I reckon it would be a great vehicle for the snow country rather than the rough-as-guts dirt roads & corrugations of outback Aust.
Was interested in your trip to Perisher.In another life I lived in Canberra for many years -still miss it! Knew that road quite well..was wondering how it performed once you started to climb out of Jindabyne towards the snow line. Once you're past 2500 ft ASL is where turbo charged engines come into their own... normally aspirated engines seem to fade unless you keep the revs well up.

Thought a trip up the Mountain would be the perfect way to get to know the car.
I gt the Si4 petrol and was more than happy with its performance, had no issues with hill climbing at all, it held its rev's and had plenty of power. If you got held up behind someone you had to give it a bit to get around but once it hit revs was great.
This is coming from someone who had a V8 sedan for the last three years though.
Handled like a dream, loved how it soaked up the bumps and hugged into the corners...
Had quite a few second looks too, also saw a grey Évoque at Jindabyne as well.
We did over 6,000km trip to Cairns and back including back roads through to Mt Surprise on Kennedy Development Road. The trip was smooth and ruts and potholes hardly felt at all :)
Only 100km on 4WD track, even though a lot of dirt roads.
Check the panel that covers the tow hook at back of vehicle, if not put on properly the panel starts popping out on rough terrain. I put it back three times and then got the dealer to fix properly on return home.
