Wow - found the battery under the glovebox. Guess Ill replace it and see if it fixes the issue. That was really helpful thankyou.

Took it to two different land rover expert mechanics and neither knew this model had a second battery, will probably just take it to landrover/jaguar when it comes time for service.

Don't be too hard on your mechanic! Who would think a car has another little battery unless you knew.

There is a difference between mechanics and technicians. My background is marine engineering and my main job was diagnostics. So I always had the time to look into issues and get to the bottom of the underling issue.

The thing is, you don't know what you don't know! I know I'm always learning.

If your mechanic doesn't know about the auxiliary battery they might not be aware of the complexities of late model Land Rovers.

If you have a independent mechanic that you trust let them know about the auxiliary battery and it might wake them up to other things. But if it's a Land Rover dealer? **** them they should have known!!!
