We have a 2006 Territory Ghia Turbo, its a toy I bought for my Mrs,has less than 60000kms on it.I love steering it,its a rocketship and isnt that far behind the D4 in comfort.
EASY car to destroy ones licence;););););) When we bought it our 19yo son said there is a soccermum with no licence;););););)
PS,its standard lighting kills the D4;););););)

Disco Sport
Looks good but two big problems
- too expensive
- not a Defender
For the market they're aiming at, I think they'll do well.
Let's face it - look at the number of Freelander II's and Evoques getting around now. They're everywhere around where I am in Perth. The Disco Sport is aimed at exactly the same market, replacing the Freelander and looking a lot more like the Evoque.
I've driven Freelander II's a couple of times now and have been pretty impressed with the latest version - have even been thinking of replacing SWMBO's Camry with one. I might wait until this new Sport has been around for a while now, and get her one of these instead. I think it's something that would suit our needs pretty well - I don't mind the look of it at all, definitely better looking than its competitors.
I'd still be keeping the D4 for myself though. ;)
I agree Kal, it's a very good looking device, certainly better than anything else in its class.
I think its a tidy looking machine and should do well..
As for the "must have a TC" - how stuck in 19xx do people want to be?
With modern multi ratio boxes, if the 1st and 2nd gears are low enough then a single range gearbox will more than adequately do everything the same vehicle with less gears and dual range will... And less gear sucking power out of the driveline
My mate has the single range Amarok and it goes everywhere his old 80 series did,I didn't think it would but he drove up all the same tracks without any issue except it hit it's guts a few times running factory suspension.I want a FL2 as our next vehicle,I've had a few as loaners and really like them,I think the disco sport like the FL2 and Evoque before it will bring more people to the marque and LR will continue to sell strongly world wide,I just wish they would pull their finger out on the defender and let us see it.
