Infotainment System shuts down and reboots

    Hi

I have a MY17 TD4 HSE and the day after picking it up drove from Melbourne to Geelong. On the trip down and also on the way back my Infotainment System shutdown and rebooted. Both time the GPS was running along with the radio (FM). Once up and running again the GPS continued with no need to re-input details. The Infotainment system is the standard HSE Touch system.

Has anybody else had similar issues with their Infortainment system?

    Thanks

    Peter

    Infotainment System

I bought the same vehicle in July 17 and it has the Entertainment Pack which I think you are referring to. Mine has had a couple of hiccups when it starts. Sometimes I am well out of mu driveway before it has woken up properly.
Also, this pack has the InControl Touch Pro Navigation, which is supposed to allow me to connect to wifi devices, problem is, although the manual and setup guides tell me how to do it, the "Communication" feature is not in the setup lists.
I have since been told that this feature is not (and can not be) included in the MY17 - even though all the specs indicate that it has it.
PRicho, Do you have this in your vehicle?
Anyone else with a MY17 HSE have this, or the InControl Connect pack?

I’m having media player issues, the CD day only plays original cd’s no burnt ones.

Additionally after about 30-60 min of playing the unit freezes and CD stops playing.

Further after ripping music from a cd’s to the issue maternal HDD isn’t accessible when pressing on media as source.

We can see the files and folders of the ripped music when managing the music but can’t play it, when trying to load the media from HDD the load/ search screen is displayed indecently and never shows the ripped music files.

Have seen the same issue posted on uk forums and apparently there is a software update released in September to fix this issue, possibly it may also resolve your issue.

I’m booking mine in via warranty claim next week for the software update, fingers crossed.

Have you had any luck since this post as it’s a few months old?

    SD card missing message

I just bought a DS HSE second hand a couple of days ago, and I love it. It only has one issue which the seller did tell me about, which was an intermittent fault where you hit the GPS and you get a message “SD card not detected”. You can reboot and it normally works, but it’s a real pain. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies. In the 6 months since I first posted, the Entertainment Unit has shut down and rebooted 'only' 1-2 times.

No closer to working out why but it is rare enough that it isn't a big issue. I had the car serviced last week (early January 2018) and did not get a software update AFAIK. Did get a software update regards the service indicator but not for the entertainment unit.

    InControl Touch Pro issues

Hi PRicho, I've the same vehicle (since Jun 17) and, while not having the GPS reboot on me, I've experienced problems with the ICTP system (display jitter or losing the display and/or audio altogether). Last October, the dealer performed the Phase 3 update but didn't fix the problem. Strangely enough, as I note from yesterday's service record, they performed the Phase 3 update again. Don't know if it's a misprint for the phase 4 (if it's out) or if it's 2nd time lucky? Either way, should know fairly soon whether the problem is sorted.

i didn't see either of those on the work order from my recent service.

    Hi all

Just advising the media player Update has resolved pretty much all of our issues previously listed.

It’s a major software update to the core system and media player.

You need to specifically request the update or they may not do it.

The process took over 3+ hours to complete the multi stage update and patches.

Initially the car drove strangely for a day then settled down and ran better.

    Hope this info helps.

Just for info, I copied the sat nav files to a new SD card, and for the past few days it has worked perfectly....
