Hi Alan and my apologies, I meant to reply to your post when you put it up but I got sidetracked.

I looked at your photos when you e-mailed them to me, and they are perfect.

Any chance you could lift the floor panel in your cargo area and take a few more photos.

    Thanks again, Tim.

    Hi Drivesafe
I understand that you have a commercial interest in finding the best solution for us, but quite simply can I ask:
    1) if I parallel my fridge and Aux battery to the switched 12V output from the fuse box at the rear of the DS, with a diode in the Aux battery lead, could I cause any serious damage?
    2) my thinking is that when the engine is off, the Aux will keep the fridge alive (for a while) but when the engine is going, the alternator will charge the Aux battery and power the fridge

    What am I missing?

Hi folks and I am really sorry about this, but I just don’t have the time or access to a DS to be able to develop a vehicle specific DBS for the Discovery Sports at this time.

While not the answer to being able to recharge batteries in a caravan or camper trailer, Scott Parker has an excellent thread about fitting a DC/DC setup in the rear cargo area of a DS, to charge an auxiliary battery used to power a fridge.

Hi again folks, and while I will not be making up a kit for the Discovery Sport to enable the charging of caravan or camper trailer batteries, based on one of my isolators, but thanks to the excellent info provided by Scott in his thread, and because of the ever increasing number of enquiries I am getting from DS owners, I am looking at producing a Plug-N-Play kit, based around the Sterling 30 amp Battery-to-Battery charger.

The kit, as above, will be a ready to fit system, with both the Sterling 30 amp DC/DC unit and my ABG-25, Low Voltage Cut-Out Unit for protecting the Auxiliary battery.

So once again, I am looking for someone local, with a discovery Sport, who is interested in a dual battery system and is up for being a Guinea Pig.
