    hi everyone

just wanted to check something as iam looking at getting a roof racks or platform.

according to vehicle specs the roof load rating is only 75kgs... am i correct in understanding the 75kg is dynamic weight not static weight? ..

For those still looking, autobarn has a 25% off sale on roof racks.
For me it is ~$750 for the side mount Rola vortex including 2x hybrid bike rakes

I have the LR roof rails already and have just ordered a set of these bars to carry a Kayak on the April school holidays. Look pretty similar to the OEM LandRover bars but at half the price. I'll report back on how it turns out after I've got them and done a trip with them...

So they arrived much more quickly than I expected - ordered on the 15th and they arrived by FedEx on the 22nd. The plastic & rubber trim parts don't have that 'quality' feel to them that I'm guessing the genuine LR ones would have, but hey it's just a roof rack, and the metal bits are very solid, they clamp on the rails firmly, and unless you look very closely I think it'd be difficult to tell them apart from the originals. There is some wind noise above 80 km/h, but I'd expect that with any bars that stick out that much, and it's not too annoying. Main point is they do a great job of holding the Kayak and I won't be leaving them on all the time.

Front Runner Racks - no need for rails

    Hi All,

I'm a new Disco Sport owner and didn't want to pay for the rails so I went with the Front Runner full rack system. Put them on myself no probs and have been great. All up $1300 so about what you would pay for rails and racks anyway! That is a stock photo from their site but will post a photo of mine if anyone requests it just need to take the pic first

    Panoramic roof

Very useful thread. Does anyone know if the options mentioned in this thread are valid for vehicles with a panoramic sky roof?

I’m looking to install racks for longer trips with my surfboards. I probably won’t have the racks on permanently
