    Disco Sport wheel alignment

    Hifolks
    Does anyone know where I can get the wheel alignment details for an MY18Discovery Sport. I have just returned from Jax Tyres where they have set it upfor Discovery L462 with air spring supension. I am sure that this is notcorrect?

    Johni,

    It is not correct, a L462 is a Discovery "5" and would have considerably different geometry. Would definitely take it back and ask them to have another go.

    Hi Brad
    Thank you so much, this is a great help.
    Returned to Jax Tyres in Thornleigh and they argued that I was wrong. No apologies.
    Begrudgingly agreed to a credit, but still maintained the settings for the Disco 5 with air suspension was ok for the Sport.

    Disco Sport wheel alignment

    Hi folks, some help please.
    I have been to 3 different wheel fitment centres and received 3 differing feedbacks regarding DS wheel alignment. Having recently whacked a wallaby, I was concerned about the front wheel alignment.
    I am now told that what can be aligned is minimal on this vehicle - only front and rear toe-in, not camber nor castor.
    Is this correct

    That is true, although I'm not even sure there is adjustment for toe in on the rear. I can't see how it can be adjusted if there is adjustment for the rear toe in.

    Both my RRV and my Disco Sport don't have adjustment for camber and caster but the tyre wear on the RRV is perfect, dead flat on all four tyres. This is much better than my D4 and my son's D3, which both wear the edges on the rear tyres.

    Thank you so much for confirming that what I have been told about no camber/castor adjustment is correct - quite a relief.
    Now just a matter of establishing the best tyre pressures for no load in city, and heavy load on unsurfaced roads. Any suggestions?

    I just use the marked pressures for most conditions, either heavy or low load as required. You can drop them a bit on unsealed roads if you go slow but under normal conditions I don't change the pressures.

    I am currently in the middle of a trip to Sydney from Perth via Tasmania and Victoria towing my 2.5T caravan and leave the tyre pressure on the heavy load setting as specified for my Range Rover Vogue. I don't tow in the Disco Sport, though.

    Can I suggest you email Land Rover Australia with your query about wheel alignment settings, just for peace of mind. Or talk to a LR dealer.
