New to LR getting my hands on 2017 TD4 HSE MY 18

G'day All, my first post in the forum
I 'm getting delivery of my first LR DS 2017 TD4 HSE next week.It has 9000K's on it and during the test drive I noticed a warning for low DEF level. The sales guy tells me this requires just a adblue top up and an easy fix. I am buying through a reputed dealer though not a LR dealer.
Is this possible or should I be worried about anything else ?I haven't owned a diesel in a few years and not too sure about the DEF tec.
Looking forward to many months of happy motoring

Yes, you just need to refill the AdBlue, which happens about every 7000km or so. You can't let the count down get to zero or the car will not be able to be started. You also must not over fill it or the car won't start. This is the same with any modern diesel that uses DEF. It is all in the manual.

Best to buy 10 litre drums of adblue from an auto parts shop and use the very expensive refill bottles available from LR to do the job. I just bought one bottle. Empty the bottle into the reservoir and refill it from the drum. The tank cannot be overfilled when filled using the proper bottle as per the instructions. You then only need to buy one bottle from LR. Others have tried different refill methods but the above works for me.
