    Roof Rail

    Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum as I recently purchased a Discovery Sport L550. It's a 2016 model 2.0 TD SE.
It came without roof rail and I want to take it off road and on the beach so I'd like to install some roof rack, shade etc.

I couldn't find anywhere to buy roof rail that go on lengh of the car, I only find some for model with panoramic sunroof (mine doesn't have it) and I don;t want to drill the existing cover.
Do you know anyone who sell them? My car is silver.

Or do you think it's better to go with standard roof racks that fit any car (like rhino rack)?

    Many thanks.
    Robin

Landrover do roof rails that fit into the existing gutters in either black or silver, and they blend in very nicely with the overall design aesthetics of the car. Then you can add cross bars, Landrover do these also, but I prefer the Rhino rack ones, or you could put a cage on if you want something more 'expedition' like.

Thule also offer also cross bars that clamp directly onto the door frames without needing the rails, but personally I don't think they look good, and I wouldn't trust them with much weight off-road. And then there's Chinese rip-offs of the genuine roof rails on eBay, but I've heard bad things about them so would recommend buying the originals from a dealer.
