All of the current generation LR's can physically take way more than that, they just won't ratify it above 75 (or is it 80)kgs due to the compromise in vehicle dynamics which risks rollover. If driven accordingly, you could load up to your hearts content.

The current pano roofs are devoid of any structural elements crossing them so I would expect the defender to be the same. The line in the glass in the second pic would indicate the inclusion of an opening sunroof although, it seems a long way back.

Yes the D2 can take way more than 75kg...

I agree but seeing a big B pillar means they should be able to easily certify it especially with such a wide stance and DSC combined.

On the last few trips mine has had close to 100Kg on the roof,and i don't notice it there at all.

I agree, I think LR have been very conservative with roof loadings. Probably to ensure that the vehicle passes the same tests whether the roof is loaded or not.

There could be a B pillar going across the roof under the glass, for separate front and rear sunroofs.
The rear interior shot also shows how much of the rear of the window is covered by the camo.
