I think with all the they had to deal with build the new defender, we have ended up with the best possible vehicle considering everything from a financial, safety, environmental and future proof standpoint.
Lets just hope the defender survives this whole brexit thing and doesn't get delayed further.
I personally cant wait to try one out!
They'll build it in Slovakia, along with the Discovery, to avoid the Brexit debacle, I expect.
Correct it's not a fact til it happens. It's a prediction.
...I think it will be within 5 years, because no-one will want to buy a new petrol or diesel model with EV's on the horizon. Yes hybrids will fill the gap to some extent and will probably be the best 4x4 option initially until batteries have a better range.
That MAY be the case in the cities But in the Bush I doubt that people will want to be reliant on non existing charging stations or running their gensets longer and using more diesel to charge up batteries.
I doubt that you will see any EV 4WD's out at the mustering camps in the Kimberlie's and most certainly no new fangled Defender that will cost a small fortune will be found there.
