    Exactly. Old vs new. But if new Defender doesn’t also have the right attributes of old it won’t work.

    And an equivalent non hybrid is $20k. The cost difference can t be justified from any reasonable perspective.

    I think I read the extra cost of the Corolla hybrid over the standard equivalent version was only about $2k.

    But not particulatily safe or comfortable for more than two and it tiny, leaving it in a very limited market.

    Sorry the Jimmy is not size of any landy I've seen other than a series 1, they are tiny inside apart from front seats(front is great), imho they are only good for solo tourers or weekend warriors.

    After front/rear barwork, roof rack, winch plus passengers, you would have next to no load carrying capacity.

    Its good for the price but far from a good all round tourer/4x4

    My son had one as his first car. I can report they roll easily.
