Interesting there's is no manual option.
Look forward to more mechanical specs eg transfer case/gear ratios, towing weights etc.
Cheers

Supposedly leaked (read 'planted') on a UK forum, details of the specs and engines for the new Defender.
I imagine a lot of current D3/D4 owners (me included) would be attracted to the new car, particularly if it comes with a 221kw/650nm straight six.

The stealer sends me info. about the new beast in an effort to entice me into one. I'm interested but they never answered when I inquired about wheel sizes. I definitely do not like the 20" size for some models as it's bad enough trying to get good tyres for 19".
What about fuel tank size? Is it still going to be a piddly little thing suitable for Europe but not here?
I'll wait and see but the cook loved the old Deafeners we had.... if you can call a new TD5 and Puma old! So I may just be able to persuade the dear lady if I/we (mostly her) reckon it's good for what we do.
Cheers.

But will it have a DPF and AddBlue? Probably a big YES and who needs the problems they bring.
Hopefully there is a petrol option, though I haven't had a petrol vehicle in 30 years, I've heard too many hushed up DPF stories.
Apparently base model will have 18s.
There is a straight six petrol option.
Of course they will have DPF and AdBlu - it's the only way to comply with Euro6 and Californian regulations, which are the world's strictest.
20 inch rims? Does it come with a pram in the boot? FFS. I thought my D3 with 18 inch was stoopid but this is an all new level. Plus it looks like a disco all doofed doofed.
At least get the petrol hybrid so you can have some fun onroad cause it's useless off-road.
Hilarious.
All hopes on the entry level 18” model. Hopefully the larger wheel sizes are only catering to the buyers ego and not brake caliper clearance for those wanting to put the base spec wheels on the HSE.
Agree. Hope you can option down to 18” wheels if you buy an upper spec model.

255/60/20 is the tyre size from one of the other threads on this forum - should lend itself fairly well for a decent(decent for a large rim that is) sidewall on the 18" rim with the same diameter tyre.

What is sad about all of this is that people are grasping at straws to find something good to say.....
