Tyres look like 65/70 aspect ratio and to me that means 17", quite a bit of sidewall on them.

We know from lots of previous shots that the new Defender is running 32” rubber, and LR tends to like 10”/255mm tyre widths. I would be very surprised if those pics we’re talking about end up being 17” rims. It doesn’t look right to my eye and sure doesn’t match up to the numbers when you do some measurements based on the photos.
Next LRO mag, might have something interesting

There was some garbage on there for sure, but that's been removed and other content merged in, i wouldn't say by any means it turned into a garbage tip, it was imo getting less garbage tip like as time went on if you go back and look at it at the start, we had it down to just a monthly outburst or 2 like any big controversial thread.
Only a few weeks out now too
Hopefully it gets reopened and everyone can be as respectful as reasonably possible considering the emotions involved in the replacement/changing of an icon.
Happy to use different threads but all the forums that have different threads on the new defender still have one big one that is like a general thread. Saves having a million threads to sift through and follow.

Just an observation. We now know the Defender will come standard with 32" tyres, with 18, 20 and 22" rim options. Well the Ford F150 – the most popular truck in the USA – has a lot of variants but many of them also ship with 32" tyres on 18, 20 and 22" rims. Check this out:
2019 Ford F150 Tire Sizes
275/65R18 - 32.1"/815mm
275/55R20 - 31.9"/810mm
275/45R22 - 31.7"/805mm
F150 customers are *not* short on choice for tyres in the USA, and there's a reasonable list of options for the 18's and 20's in Australia today. So long as 275 isn't too wide for the wheel wells, we should be OK.
