Yes, got a quote - for a basic spec with only a few things added, like green paint, it tips the scales at just over $82K on the road - and that’s really with bugger all selected. For most builds I’m sure the average price would be around $100K - too steep for this little black duck and way beyond my means unfortunately. I could have got to mid 60’s I think at a stretch which I was hoping would get me close, but it’s a country mile away...
It’s actually very disappointing to be honest that it’s aimed so far away from where the old one was - I’m sure quite deliberately to stop the great unwashed like me owning one. I too am starting to think they should have called it the Discovery 6 - it shares much more in common both spec, tech and price wise.
Don’t worry, If I saw you pull up in yours I’d be over in a flash to have a chat and look with a large smile on my face and hassle you to take me for a ride in it - I’m always happy for those that can afford LR’s finest, but think they could have done something to keep the price down on a basic specced vehicle, but it’s obvious they don’t want to play there any more.
