Saying someone is clueless is a bit rude tbh and the statement regarding comparisons is imo "wrong" and "not one" is almost a physical impossibility would you not agree? The New Defender.

There are plenty of sites that do a comparison of the suburban and the discovery (defender being even closer to suburban with bigger engine power).

And Infact the 130 will go even more head to head with the suburban it being longer with more space.

Interesting the rover has the better warranty in the states @ 4 years

    As posted in pricing thread.

Let's think about this logically though, if your after a suburban your criteria is clearly space, comfort and power. You have little regard for economy and you like a big bus to drive around in. How does the defender even slightly fit the bill other than the 400hp motor on offer? Will the defender really take sales away from any of the large America trucks on offer? Maybe some but not many I reckon. Then there's the cross over suv market which is huge in the state's but the defender is to $$pricey so I can't see it converting many sales there.
It's has nothing in common with the jeep...

I'm struggling to see where this vehicle fits?

The new Defender looks to be fairly unique in the US context. It is a mid-large SUV wagon with real off-road ability. I think it will be popular for those who don’t want a massive truck.

As said before 130 could go head to head logically.

Everyone keeps talking about the 130. Had anyone actually seen one, if you have and can share a pic it would be awesome

All I've seen about 130's are in leaks only.

Shares all the same stats as the 110, except 342mm longer. Can only assume this is added to the rear overhang as even wheelbase is the same as 110...

Apparently this was taken from a demo on the display panels. The 130 though does look like a rendered shot.

As the wheelbase is said to be the same as the 110, all the extra length will just be in the rear.

It is meant to seat 8 full sized adults.

I think it'll fit in the space where the new Bronco will play. Just at the top end of it. Capable and "mid sized" but with lots of comfort and luxury for the well heeled. Never going to sell in big numbers (share wise) but they don't need it to.
