Let’s hope the D300 will be able to fit the 18” wheels.
Apparently the straight six diesel mild hybrid has been spotted

Let’s hope the D300 will be able to fit the 18” wheels.
Lets also hope the cost will be less than the P400 .

i believe it is putting out the same number of ponies as the P300 Petrol you get in the UK, no doubt aided by the MHEV unit,
with the P300 you can get 18" steelies or dark satin alloys on the SE variant. Question will be whether it will have the P300
or P400 brakes i suppose
Cheers

Sure sounds like fun to drive. Reckon I'll stick with the D240 though... better in terms of cost, weight and space. The MHEV system improves economy in stop/start traffic but no big advantage elsewhere so I reckon my range per tank out of town would still be better with the four-pot.
Any idea on weight to power of the D240? and the bigger tune?? more KW's but the same Nm?? weird..

D240 Defender 177kw/2323kg = 76w/kg
P400 Defender 294kw/2361kg = 124w/kg
D240 Disco (sd4) 177kw/2184kg = 81w/kg
6cy Disco diesel 225kw/2184kg = 103w/kg
Old 2.2l Defender 90kw/1972kg = 45w/kg
So the new D240 is about 60% better than the old Defender/Puma engine but still 6% down on the same engine in the Disco due to extra 140kg of weight. .... IF I've done my maths right.
