The UK site build your own has the 6 cyl diesels as an option. D250 has 18” wheels available, D300 19” and up. I guess the D300 has the bigger brake package. That creates a conundrum.

I’m thinking aftermarket 18’s might be the way to go. I guess somebody will make it work.

They will because there will be a world wide demand for them.

I can’t believe LR still produce dedicated off road touring vehicles with silly rim sizes. They copped a hiding about this when the D3/4 was released.
Obviously they don’t listen to anyone, they know better.
Ditto for small fuel tanks.Spare hanging on the rear, you would think there would be quite a bit of room underneath, for a larger tank.
No doubt the aftermarket guys will be onto this,as well.

Everything to date has required a brake caliper swap for 18s even with after market rims so may not be as easy as previous models.
That said the available tyre sizes in 20s is much better these days

    Saw this in 4x4 online:

2021 Land Rover Defender range revealed

Pretty much confirms as per the other article and predicts "no supply shortages".

Just for fun, a visual comparison (screen shots) between the new D90 and D100 concept that wasn’t too well received.

Found a great link on the UK site: https://www.landrover.co.uk/Images/L...295-800801.pdf

    RE: Wheels and brakes...

D250 Brakes: Twin piston sliding fist caliper, 349mm
    D300 Brakes: 4 piston opposed 2 piece caliper, 363mm

P300 Brakes: Twin piston sliding fist caliper, 349mm
    P400 Brakes: 4 piston opposed 2 piece caliper, 363mm

That pretty much means the D250, or P300 for me...

    Prices

Those prices mentioned above seem a bit lower than what they were advertising at my dealer when I went a couple of months ago, maybe an S model D250 might be on the cards...
