Defender 110 5 seater MY20/MY21 - removal of rear seats

Is it possible to remove the rear bench on the MY20/MY21 Defender to make the area flat all the way to be front seats - see photo below? We are looking to sleep in the back and need the extra length. Are there any electrics that need to be disconnected?
    Thanks

I think your query might be premature.

I don't think there have even been enough 110's sold for anyone to start removing rear seats.

I know it's generations apart but I did that to my D2. They were very heavy and i was reluctant to put them in and out. I bought some nice domed socket head bolts to plug the mounting holes in the floor.

If you lift the matting around seat mounts you may (I'm guessing here) see the mounting bolts on floorplates, possibly as many as 16 and they will be tight , and mine had specific "star" (I can't think of the correct name for them) drive heads...."torqueset" rings a bell, which I had to buy.

If you go down this path make sure you have suitable drive tools and room to use them. I had to adapt the driver from a hexagon to 1/2" . The mounting bolts were locked both mechanically and chemically and were very hard to remove.

Good luck , you could possibly be the Aulro pioneer for rear seat removal on new Defenders. You could print yourself a t shirt.
