from all of the reports i have seen, the D300 will have similar if not the same large rotors and calipers as the P400. One of the few 18" that has been fitted to a P400 was
after some modifications to the rear brakes (sdv6 D5 calipers retro fitted) and they were Tuff Ant alloys.. that was done by Lucky8 in the good ole US of A..
fettling with the brakes is a risk to far for me personally, especially around insurance and vehicle compliance.. so will stick with the 255/65 R19 fitment

    Zilch,

Did you keep the original 255/65 r19 tyres the Defender came with or fit a set of Goodyear Duratrac tyres ?

Also did you get 3rd row seats and if so is there much leg room ? I'm still pondering whether to order the D300 with 3rd row seats or without - hoping there maybe extra storage area where the 3rd row seats would have gone ?

one of the examples there shows a 255/60x18 0n an 8"rim

why cant you use a 265 or 275/65-75x18 on an 8"rim

then you get the tyre dia you want.

    I wouldn't run a 255 on an 8"rim personally.

I think the original LR 18 inch rims only fit on 4cyl versions - not the six cyl versions with larger brake caliper.

18 inch rims are also available on the D250 3.0L inline 6 cylinder on Defender Base & S models. SE and HSE models have the D300 with the larger brake calipers:
