    MY22 updates

    Hi All,

Would be curious to know what you are hearing from your dealers in regards to MY22 updates and for those of us with existing orders?

The HSE spec doesn't seem to be on the 110 any longer, and pricing seems to have jumped in general.

Does this mean we will have to reorder?

Someone i know in Perth who had a D300 90 SE on order which was due delivery in the middle of this year has been informed his
order is cancelled (MY21 spec) and he will have to reorder based upon a MY22 model.. the 90 SE D300 has been dropped.. I copied
the following from the Australian all new defenders owner group on FB, it looks like the XS edition may be replacing the HSE in some
variants, but available in X-Dynamic form in others. I think a sit down with a dealer is required to work it all out

I just cannot see any justification in purchasing any of those models at those prices .

I can buy a Ford Ranger Tradie for $47,000 all ends up which will get me to almost anywhere I want to go with Fords blessings and warranty and service at $299 fixed price for 5 years.

The cheapest listed Defender there is around 50% dearer but is not 50% better in anything you like to suggest.

Then check out comprehensive insurance , aftermarket accessories , tyre availability and scheduled servicing costs.

Yep it seems to get more bewildering and complicated....

Just because I fancied a nosey at the new Defender, I went to have a look around at the local stealer and asked about availability of the 90.
I got told the same thing, that as of June/July the factory will be moving over to 22MY builds, so no D300 on the 90 anymore.
Also got told 22MY would mean no air suspension on base or S level 110s!

Looking at the prices, I can't see how anyone would justify buying a 90, in some instances it's only about $1000 cheaper than the equivalent 110. You'd really, really want the smaller car.

Even with the current 21MY build your own website, the 90s seem oddly priced/specced.
I 'built' a 90 D300 SE and added just air suspension to see how it compares to an equivalent 110 D300 SE.
I then did the same for a 90 D250 S and adding the air suspension on this model also adds the towing pack/advanced terrain response at over $4k that seemingly can't be turned off.
So a 90 S model ended up costing more than a 90 SE model!!

I’ve had my order in since mid Jan. Called the dealer last week to see if I still had a chance to alter a couple of things like delete black roof and the white crossmember and after he checked I was told it’s too late and in the production queue. Build starts in April with a delivery date at the dealer late June. So, good chance I’m getting the 2021.

you are talking 10-12 weeks build to delivery

I have not hear of anyones order happening that fast.

from just about everything I've seen expect 10-12 months , not weeks , to delivery

I was told by my dealer 4-5 months. Ordered beginning Feb. Assures me it will be here by July or my deposit back in full.

    I got quoted 6-8 months yesterday for a D300.

Attached a price list below, does appear to have the HSE still on it.

FWIW, I ordered my RRS HSE at the end of January. On 5 March, I got an email from JLR telling me that the build was finished. The dealer said that it is still on track for delivery into the dealership on 14 May and to me a week later.
