Not having a go at the poster of the pic,but it is a good example of a situation where a proper cargo barrier should be fitted.

By proper,i mean a solid steel type such as Milford, etc.

It is a good example, I agree. What doesn’t show is the tie down straps for the fridge and anything with weight. The Landrover mesh cargo barrier in the middle gives some reassurance for lighter stuff but this topic is about the practicality of the commercial version. A van like space with an effective bulkhead takes all this effort away.

It’s the cargo barrier in the commercial versions which I’m talking about. From what I’ve read on the UK forums there a few that want to convert their commercials into passenger vehicles and get rid of the heavy duty, load restraining bulkhead. I have them in all my work vans and they are far better than a Milford cargo barrier as they cut down noise, don’t have gaps and have more securing points to bolt them in.

I would have 110 commercial in a heartbeat. Starting to get a bit worried how I am going to load my D250 S 110 (coming in December) for the desert trips I love to do. Have a really good system for my current D4.
On another note Rhino4x4 here in Mornington have designed a proper bar for the Defender, not yet in production but coming soon. Spoke to them this morning, they are expecting a prototype December sometime.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with.
Most, if not all of their bars are bumper replacement only,so not a full bar.
