The question is simply, has anyone been able to connect their camera on their van to the Pivi Pro or clearsight mirror. (both have cameras facing out the rear used for parking and seeing whats behind you)

I am thinking of getting a van, so would be interested if this is possible as well.

It's not rocket science just use your mirrors and get out of the cab and have a look see for the final push to park up.

A camera is NOT an essential item, Experiance and know how IS
The OP has a very valid question that many others are interested in answering as well. For the sake of others who are here to gain knowledge and solve problems, can I ask you to stop polluting this thread with rubbish?

.... especially when the rubbish equates to a confusing resolution.

On the one hand the reversing camera is useful for pulling up smack bang on!

I have a set of "Clearview" mirrors on my 79 Series and I have absolutely NO problems seeing the following traffic in them even if they are right up the arse of the van.
Adding yet another electronic camera to the van is prone to problems, Why not simply upgrade the rear view mirrors and be done with it.
The KISS principle is usually the best approach
And on the same hand ... a reversing camera is a complicated problematic appendage that will cause issues!?

Nothing like having an each way bet, I guess.

Instead of asking Trout1105 nicely a number of times why doesn't someone tell him politely to **** off?

On the facebook "New Defender owners group" about 12 months ago i responded to the LR guys who were asking for ideas in
regard to Pivi options/functionality, I suggested including an external camera feed via the tow pack's electric connection
to integrate a trailer camera system.. got bugger all response from the LR Pivi developer lead, although quite a few
on the FB thread thought it would be a very useful add on bless LR
