I'm not overly a fan of the new Defender but this video speaks volumes for its safety, etc..

I really can't come at the shape nor a.few other things about it, but it is probably the safest and strongest 4wd on the market. Prior to that I suspect the safest was the D4. Cheers

This puts the entirety of my current passive safety (seat belts) and active safety (ABS) features in perspective!

Serious crash. The Defender WAS motoring up the exit ramp, so not completely fault free. The driver in the car cutting across in front of the truck onto the ramp deserves a Darwin award....

Doesn't look like the exit ramp, 4 lane highway and he was tooling up the inside lane.

You are correct Sir, the Mazda cuts across the lanes heading for the exit, wayyyyyy to late, the L663 is in the outermost lane. Still the Defender was travelling too quick in that lane. My experience on German autobahns is that the lh lane is for high speed, the middle two for moderate and overtaking, the rh lane for trucks and preparing to exit. I'm sure its the same on US interstate highways. Anyway, shows how strong the L663 is.

And pretty disappointing to see the other cars slow for a look, then speed up "nothing to do with me". The one who actually gets out looks like his goal is get better phone footage.
Yup, that would be the Greatest Country on Earth....
I'd really like to think that it would still be different here.
