Never heard that one.
I've disconnected my battery to do some work on the car - same thing?
Came back to life including all my settings and profile on the pivi.
ASPW is doing a major hatchet job on them on YouTube for this supposed reason eliminating them as a serious outback tourer although he loves the look of them.

I used to watch his stuff through gritted teeth but unsubscribed when his hatred of Land Rover became almost pathological. Why defend your choices by denigrating others' equally rational choices with ill-informed commentary? I'm sure there is a recognised psychological and described condition for this behavior.
So having applied the anti-APSW mouthwash to get rid of that bad taste that person leaves, here is something I like.
Here is something that if it fails won't leave me stranded in the middle of the Canning Stock Route listening to him.
I've set the mirrors to tilt down automatically when I reverse.....I prefer that to the rearview camera (which is excellent as an overview). My S1 Disco had remotely operable mirrors. The old Defender was a pain when it came to adjustment...only manual with a passenger involved on their side.

someone with that many names has to be compensating for something...
I agree with ASPW being incredibly annoying.
But, I’d like to know if the battery flat issue is a real thing as he claims to have had a LR mechanic contact him as well to confirm.
It should be verified.
Totally agree. It should be verified/demonstrated by he who is making the claim. It's only flat earthers and the like who ask you to demonstrate that they are wrong rather than disproving their unfounded assertions.
BTW I disconnected my battery today (MY23.5 D300) to fit an auxiliary circuit and... everything came back to life as before.

The rear door just pops open after hours and days and weeks of corrugated bush tracks, unlike my old d2 the rear door often jammed up and was very difficult to open on occasion [bigsmile1]
