    Driver seat adjustment

    Hi All

I can't seem to find a comfortable position adjustment for drivers seat in my 110 Defender.

    Let me explain:
    - I adjusted the seat height to be just high enough to see the front left of the car and this causes stress on my ankle due to the angle between my foot and leg when driving around
    - I adjusted the seat height lower and this helped with angle discomfort but then the angle of the steering wheel makes turning a bit awkward

In both cases I am sitting as far back in my seat as possible and back is fairly straight.

Another issue I noticed with the driver side mirror - even in its extreme outward position (to see as much of adjacent lane as possible), I see a bit of my Defender on the inside corner of the mirror. This makes me think that either the mirror doesn't adjust outward enough or I am sitting too far back i.e. related to seat adjustment issue.

This is maybe a strange question but do you guys have any tips on seat adjustments?

PS: I have the 12-way electric adjustable seats.

    Thanks
    JB

I confess to being a bit confused by your post.

I have long legs and find the seating position satisfactory. The mirrors on both sides give me excellent vision rearwards.

Have you tried adjusting (manually) the rake of the steering wheel?

Steering wheel is adjustable for rake (up and down) and reach (in and out). I'm 6'2" and I have found a comfortable position, however the drivers mirror is at max outside adjustment and I still see a fair bit of the side of the car. I have to move the seat in way too close for comfort (like in an original 90's Defender) to have just the rear door handles visible, so im learning to live with a slightly smaller viewing angle, the commanding drive position makes up for that shortfall.

My wife is 5'4 and does not have these issues, she finds our 110 very comfortable.

New owner here and still trying to figure out the best position for me - I’m 5’11”

I agree with the ankle foot can start to have some discomfort after long drives, but still need to find the right position

One complaint is that the seat base is very flat - some side bolstering would be great

Haven't a compliant about these seats in the MY23. 5, I even dare to think they are better than in the D4. We opted for the 14 way adjustable heated seats, just love them.
