The read only and clear faults function is for me the only reason I bought one. It would be silly of LR to lock this out. I wouldn't touch the CCF manipulation with a barge pole!

I saw this, I wonder where the information came from? Or is a personal assessment?
Good point. GAP say they now support over 200 vehicles.

There is a post on the same forum:
"Does anyone have any experience with the GAP IDG4 and a L663 MY26, just tried the 007 splash screen but had a message that the CCF file wasn't supported yet.
I was told by GAP that some functions are limited and they are working on it which is great but would like to know what does work if anyone can help.
Thanks"
It is hardly the same as saying LR have shut out GAP IID acccess.
I thought the EU law was quite strict on allowing the public to have access to car software like that after a period of time ?? but maybe they can stop it in the UK as such by blocking access. be interesting to see if true whether it was allowed in work in EU countries

Hi Guys,
We're a little late in reporting back to everyone - sorry. We had to clear up where we are going with this and, above all, try to provide as much info as possible on what has happened and where this will leave our products in the future.
Background
The changes Land Rover made to diagnostic access, JLR Secured Diagnostics, are due to a UN cybersecurity directive enacted into law in the EU and the UK: UNECE R155/R156. Most other automotive manufacturers around the world have implemented similar systems - and it's definitely in all our common interest.
Where we are
JLR has rolled Secured Diagnostics out in all world markets except for North America on MY26 vehicles. This means that the IIDTool is not fully compatible with MY 2026 vehicles in most world markets except for North America where it continues to function normally on even the newest vehicles.
We've applied to JLR to have the IIDTool become an authorized diagnostic system that will provide our users access to all functions again within the framework of Secured Diagnostics, but it will likely still take some time to complete this process - likely not in this calendar year.
Summary
To recap: for MY 2026 vehicles the IIDTool is not fully compatible (above all no CCF functions!) except for vehicles delivered in North America (USA and Canada) where the JLR Secured Diagnostics has not been implemented and the IIDTool G4 still functions as in the past. Vehicles MY 2025 or earlier are unaffected. Look for the IIDTool to become fully compatible with all JLR products once again in 2027.![]()
