    i hope they preserve the Landy as it is rather than trying to improve it.
    I saw Tom Cruises truck in its restored state and it is a shame when people cant preserve vehicles in their original condition

    Original means as it is as it is now, with small improvements to be made if it needs to be driven and roadworthy.
    If it doesn't need to be driven just stop the rust if it has any.
    Refurbishing it and making it shiny wont add to its character.

    Just a guess, but I would guess that it was so overloaded in the tail that he needed some weight up front, also giving him some shade in our unforgiving outback heat.
