    Leyland Bros. Cape trip.

    Hi all,
Our Club, Land Rover Owners Club of Tasmania, has been trying to source a video of the original wet season trip to cape York by the Leyland Bros. If anyone has a copy they'd be prepared to loan (or whatever) we'd be eternally grateful. Thanks in anticipation,
    Pat Murray,
    President.

There is no youtube clips of this trip . Was in 1971, I think and involved a 108 LWB and a 108 flat tray. Polystyrene pontoons encased in weldmesh were used to cross major rivers. Goodyear Terrra tyres were also utilised.

You should have asked Arthur & Toots Holzheimer, Peninsula Transport, how they got up there on a regular service using Leyland Hippos. Toots in a floral dress and big blucher boots.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

It is, but don't apologise Bob, the more folk that see it the better, IMO.
