    The finished article was a triumph of design, and like Rolls-Royce's designs, the Range Rover's buttons were all operable by a gloved driver
    Now that's something I wouldn't have thought of as I never wear gloves whilst driving. (Actually, I have worn them in the 110 - the heater only worked in summer and the cooling only worked in winter ).

    When I originally found that photo, I did a bit of digging...

    I found out that they liked both designs i.e. the one which eventually became the RaRo but also that one on the far right. However, they felt that the look was far to utilitarian for Range Rover.

    I know the P38 has had flak from some who reckon it looks like a London cab (not in my eyes) but I think it looks good. When I look out of the door at work at mine sitting directly opposite, it looks good (especially with the RRS 12-spoke wheels).

    None of the other design concepts would have stood the test of time.
