You really have to wonder, what is that all about?

Technology for technologies sake, that will never get used.

Surely they could put some R&D into things that owners would like or want

That is what Land Rover is all about though isn't it? They come out with all the great ideas but fail badly in execution and long term reliability.

Jesus. How useful is that. You can go on a first date and surreptitiously drop second and third row on the way from dinner back to the car and have Barry White playing when you open the door.

This is insane. Servo motors everywhere. Extra weight. As said tech for tech sake.

Mr LR will be along for a spray session soon and in this instance who could blame him.

New Deefer can't come soon enough.

    Cheers

    Technology for technology's sake hey?

There's a heck of a lot of people who just can't live without:

    - A button on the steering wheel to change volume on a stereo 12" from their left hand.
    - Can't lift a tailgate
    - Can't operate a key In a lock
    - need the car to adjust their seats for them when they open the door
    - hate pressing a little button twice to open all the doors
    - turn lights on at dusk
    - put a park brake on
    - plug in a phone
    - dip headlights
    - reverse a car without sensors

And it goes on and on....

So why not automate seating Disco 5 and Bear

I like using a push button key. I can easily go without the rest. Cheers
