Rover SD1 - note the Rangie connection

I've always liked the look of the Rover 3500/SD1. Too bad it suffered at the hands of British Leyland management and the UK automotive unions.

I'm also a big fan of the SD1. Owned a few of them over the years. My current one is my favourite though. Rover SD1 - note the Rangie connection

I've always loved the early Rovers especially the SD1. I had a P6B for a few years back in the late 80's.

If I was restoring my Leyland P76 Targa Florio I'd love a Vanden Plas.

I have soft spot for them too, having owned a couple back in the day. How’s this for a barn find:

My father had a Rover 75 for years, and a couple of wrecks,i think they were 90's.
One had a headlight center of grill we used to call cyclops.

The 75 had a wooden dash, and was in VGC.

I am pretty sure it was sold around early 80's and replaced with an early 80's 2 door RR classic.
Joined the S1,in my sig, that was bought in '56 from the factory in the UK.

I learnt to drive in my mum's SD1, it was a private import 78 with a hi comp 3.5 and full length slide back soft roof. Was a great car to drive.
